Data about Election Trust
and Policy
Throughout the last two years
the SNF Agora Institute has partnered with a variety of polling organizations to survey Americans’ attitudes toward civic matters, political institutions, election processes, and related issues.
Because this work remains ongoing, we’ll update this page periodically with takeaways from the most recent poll findings. At the very bottom of the page, you’ll find a list of links to previous survey data, with accompanying brief descriptions to provide clarity.
Most Recent Update
The SNF Agora Institute is currently in the process of conducting focus groups and national polls (with regional breakdowns) through YouGov to understand Republican attitudes towards elections and other vital democratic principles. We will be sharing this data as soon as it comes out.

Previous Data
State surveys — the SNF Agora Institute partnered with Gallup in 2023 to survey voters in states across the country, gauging their opinions of election processes around the 2020 and 2024 elections, and some of their attitudes generally toward the political process, media, and each other. National surveys
In October, 2023, The SNF Agora Institute and Gallup conducted a study of 2,012 U.S. adults. One of the main research objectives was to explore factors — such as personal characteristics and related opinions — that distinguish conservatives who believe President Biden won the 2020 election (known as Conservative Biden 2020 in the poll) from those who believe President Trump won the 2020 election (Conservative Trump 2020 in the poll). A two pager is available here.
2024 flash polls
The SNF Agora Institute worked with the research firm Glimpse in the weeks leading up to the 2024 general election to ask voters about election-process issues that were part of political debates or in the news.
